I'm a new member of the forum & am trying to contact another member about an item he has listed in the classified section. It says I need admin approval to send a PM, presumably because I'm a new member & they're trying to stop spammers. How do I go about getting admin approval for this?
I found a relevant forum post, but emailing the address mentioned in there for Alan resulted in a "Delivery to the following recipient has failed permanently" message. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/private-messages/83240/page1/

Well that would be the easy thing to do. I appreciate the nigerian scammer-esque response. That gave me a chuckle.

ok .. thanks, I've been pointing this out to folk that can't seem to get through on the PM system … usually turns out that they are on Yahoo (like I was)

Unfortunately yahoo doesn't play nicely with the forim PM feature. I updated your permissions but you may still have trouble with PMs through the forum. If you want me to share your email address with Sonic so that he can contact you directly I can do that.
