Advance review: The new Girl Scout cookie: Toast, Yay.

My wife brought home an advance sample of the new Girl Scout cookie. My thoughts:

It has a silly name.
Crisp. This cookie could hold up to a prolonged dunk in milk, coffee or tea.
Cinnamon. Maple? Fake maple.
Not to sweet. This is good. I prefer more flavor and texture than outright sweetness.

They're quite good. The Lemon cookies used to be my favorites. These may have knocked them down to number two.

Cookie sales start Saturday. I suspect this is going to be a year that's heavier on online orders and third party delivery. Buy locally if you can, but if anybody *really* needs a hookup, I'll have a link and I'm sure dusterbd13 will, too.

I usually end up buying a couple boxes of thin mints and then plowing thru a box at a time.

Any new gluten free options? The wife can't have gluten

There are gluten free options- Toffee-tastic or Caramel Chocolate Chips. I'm not sure which councils are offering which ones, though.

Thanks for the local reminder, someone shared a link for their neighborhood kid a few weeks ago.  My go-to is always the peanut butter sandwich and a box of generic shortbread, both great with milk.  Might have to try a box of the new one.
