I recently removed the rear hubs on the Fiesta ST to insert some camber plates. The center of the hub contains a threaded portion that looks like a spindle but is actually just a spinning piece of metal that gives the ABS sensor something to read. Well, apparently mine got loose in the process because this morning I have ABS kicking in at all times. Even at 5 mph on sry road, the ABS kicks in. LOL, have to tighten that up!

My P71 does that sometimes, though I’ve not found anything loose or damaged. It’s “interesting” when the ABS engages unexpectedly.
what's worse then having ABS kick in unexpectedly is having ABS keeping you from braking at all. that happened in my buddies 2000 silverado, they had problems with rust building up around the sensor and preventing it from getting a signal which then makes the ABS system think the wheel is locked up and prevents any brake force being applied to it in an attempt to let the wheel 'unlock'. both feet deeeep into the brake pedal and rolled through a stop sign, we then pulled over and pulled the ABS fuse.
