As John Wayne attempted to transition to action films in the 1970s (Westerns had fallen out of favor) he made several 'cop' movies. My favorite was Brannigan: 1974 Capri "I waited a year for delivery!"

It's hard to believe this was just an old car that could be crashed. 1966 E-Type:

Ditto the '64 S-Type:

John Wayne also made "McQ" which featured a few cars and a really brutal rollover stunt. '69 Plymouth Belvedere:

Edit: That 1960 Morgan +4 Roadster was bought from the film company and restoration started by new owner, was featured later on Chasing Classic Cars.

Witness, an Amish/cop thriller with Harrison Ford was filmed very close to where I live. The VW wagon was sold at auction after the film was over...I actually was behind it being towed with a tow bar one day, the auction notes still scrawled on the rear window. Always wondered what happened to it. Better Off Dead '67 Camaro. This car was actually found and rescued.

Not a movie, but 'Breaking Bad' was full of some of the best 'also ran' and 'under the radar' cars you'll ever see. All the stars had them but my favorite was Mike's Fifth Avenue:

followed closely by Jesse's Toyota Corolla wagon.

Movie said it was a Maserati. Clearly it's a Citroen. Apparently it's has a Maserati motor in it as the result of Citroen buying Maserati.

Not a movie car, but what about the futuristic car from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers "You Got Lucky" video? It sorta looks like something they found on a Hollywood backlot leftover from Logan's Run or some other 70's sci fi show/movie. Video also has a cool motorcycle sidecar too.

In the early 1970s Disney made several movies with Kurt Russel as a college student. His vehicle of choice was a Meyers Manx dune buggy.

In "Now You See Him, Now You Don't" the bad guys inexplicably drove a 1951 Hudson Wasp.
