It's really sweet without being saccharine.
As I get further into the series, I find it is a bit umm, boob heavy...
But is it Excel werid/silly?

Trivia: the mangaka is actually a porn artist. I wasn't expecting much of the series until I saw an article on ANN about how it's a well thought out thinly veiled reference to nontraditional families, so I thought it might be worth a go after all.
