Long story short im getting out of shape, i cant stand mountain bikes and the guy i traded my old bike too cut me a great deal after he just let it sit for 7 years. Paint was still crap, he pulled the front wheel apart for new bearings it never got and managed too lose the hardware and one peg!

Thats what it looked like when i got it back. frames an 03 or 04 haro (i cant remember) that replaced a free agent i bent. Everything aside from the handle bars was stuff my mom ordered me from dans comp while she was in iraq.

goofing with paint colors

the finished product, ordered the new front bearings, peddles and handgrips from amazon. forgot to order new axle nuts, that turned into a 100 mile roundtrip to find a bikeshop that actually knew what a 14mm axle was! it rides great but needs a new set of pegs and an unbent chain tensioner.

this is the motivation behind it, i have a pair of 8 year olds i dont want to see being couch potatoes. Didnt take near enough photo's too make it a project thread but i know several of you guys also enjoy bikes!
Why can't you stand mountain bikes?

I dunno, maybe you don't think they can throw down on dirt jumps either...

just not comfortable on them, i rode downhill as a youth when i lived in maryland. Moved too flat ass ohio as a teen and got into bmx park and street. Didnt say they werent capable, just said i didnt like them.
Nice. So is the taped up seat a style thing in BMX? All the other new components, bling pedals, and a taped up saddle...just made me wonder...
My buddy keeps telling me I should get a mountain bike, but I kinda want one like this instead. Wish I never sold off my redline as a teenager.

That seats just really comfortable. I debated ordering a new one but most of these style seats are rock hard!
In reply to dropstep:
Nice work! I really like the way it came out.
I tried mountain biking too, and didn't really enjoy it. The bikes nowadays are very impressive though.
