My ex-brother-in-law's daughter was born on Dec. 25. Their last name is Smith. He threatened he'd name her Mary Chris.
(She's Brittany, instead)
My name is Jay, my daughter's mom's is Kay, and every member of both our families wanted us to name the girl "Elle". We did not.
She thanks us to this day.
A girl I knew in high school's name was Holly Wood. That's right, last name Wood, first name Holly. She didn't actually get as much guff from it as one would expect. Didn't hurt that she was real cute, too
My buddy snuck Russell William past his wife. We call his son Rusty Willy.
It's going to suck that his kid gets to pick the nursing home though.
how 'bout the race car driver... Dick Trickle ?... think he had a hard time while growing up ?
then there's the former Chicago Bear Dick Butkus .... more often pronounced Butkiss.... no wonder he grew up so tough
and I also knew a man named Richard Head ( played darts with him at tournaments) he always reg. as Richard but invariably the announcer would call for Dick to report to board (what ever ) for his upcoming match...

While there was a woman named Ima Hogg, there was no Ura...that's an old, old urban myth.
SkinnyG wrote: While it seems innocent: Randy Johnson. Congratulations. You just named your kid Horny Penis.
The redundancy would be so embarrassing.
Keith wrote: A friend of mine has the last name Martins. When she was pregnant, I suggested naming her kid either Doc or Aston. Unfortunately, it was a girl.
My sisters last name is Brown. She has three sons. My suggested names for them were Charles, Leroy, and James.
She didn't listen to me.
Used to work with a guy named Neil Hiscock, then he got married. When we heard we felt bad for his wife.
Then he announced he was changing his name to Palludan.
He's still an shiny happy person, so people who knew him from before still call him by his original name. Always wanted to push him off a ladder and exclaim that Hiscock fell off! Oh well.
Dr. Richard (Dick) Chopp is well known in the Austin community for performing Vasectomies.
That's just wrong.

Yes, very wrong.
Speaking of doctors, I was at the hospital recently and saw a sign for a Dr. Teebaggy.

Mmmm.....
Jonesboro is 30 miles south of Marietta, and Marietta is 20 miles south west of Forsythe county.
These people need to learn the law of "diminishing returns" because there's plenty of business at home, right next door, around the corner, down the street, etc., etc.
Mi Suk Yang? Real, or not, that's comedy gold!
Speaking of awesome names: http://www.cracked.com/article_14982_9-manliest-names-in-world.html
Mine is nothing special, but my two middle & last initials are "MPH" (which is why I use Jay200MPH on some other boards.) My sister's first name is with an 'M', she hates her first middle name, and since we share the 'P' (Mum's last name), she gets to be just MPH.
I had geometry teacher in high school by the name of Mr. Borr. A friend of mine was born on Christmas Day her mother originally planned on naming her Andrea Susan then realized that with a last name of Summers, well Andi's middle name is Noel. I have another friend by the name of Nakia. Her family was calling her Kia long before the Koreans came. My girlfriend is also unsure of taking my last name when we get married, because then her initals would be KIA, not sure if I blame her.
I once worked with a guy who was married to a social worker. She worked with children that were removed from their parents and put in protective custody. Once she was working with a young girl whose parents had given the legal first name of the N word

I present you Dick Tapper, urologist in Ohio http://www.genito-urinary-surgeons.com/tapper.shtml
Ridiculous names are good for a laugh, but you'd be amazed at how many people manage to mangle my very simple two-syllable last name. Boggles my mind.
I don't remember how to spell the last name but when I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska there was a name in the phone book of Richard Phlopalotofit.
