Looking for a solid Airdyne stationary bike preferably used. My goal is HIIT. I know many of these get bought, used for a short period of time, then shoved off into a corner to collect dust or hang clothes from. My question is are there any particular models to avoid? I see many in different colors and some different electronic displays. Is there a commercial line that's different from the residential grade units? Many of the ones I've checked into the sellers know very little regarding what exact model they have, what year it was made, etc.

My only tip on this is to go to the dealer and talk to the sales guy there. My local dealer knows more than any human should know about Airdynes. He's in his 40s now and has been selling them since he was a teenager. They may even know someone looking to sell. Do buy SOMETHING while you're there though. Tubes for your bike with wheels comes to mind, or a water bottle, or some end of season ski stuff.
