Love it and considering that showed a lot of Cpt. Phil (RIP) as he was found after his stroke and the treatment, I am pretty sure we can conclude its not fake.

I know it is not fake. I was touched with the son/father relationship.

My problem is I was dumb enough to believe Operation Repo was real rather than fake.

I have been fascinated and intrigued by crabbing off Alaska since it exploded in the seventies; watched every documentry that came on about it, and have been an ardent fan since the first season of Deadliest Catch. Even though I knew Phi had died last Feb, seeing it tonight was reliving it all over again. My grandfather was a wooden boat builder, my uncle, too. I've been a delivery captain, broker, marine mechanic and marine surveyor at various times in my life. This was like losing a family member. That may soound soap-operaish, but true. Phil will be missed.

as somebody who went to school for communications and has an interest in video (and works in the A/V department at several casinos here in AC) I would LOVE to be part of the video team on one of those boats. it just looks like GREAT fun

Watched the Phil episode last night, very sad for his boy's. I liked Man vs. Wild and Dirty Jobs better but it's a good show. Discovery is my favorite channel. I'm getting into American Pickers on History channel.

I am guessing that at first "Operation Repo" was not intended to be fake, but once the film crews showed up and realized there was not enough drama, they decided to make E36 M3 up.

I was originally not sure if it was fake either, since I believe that in this 15 minutes of fame world people change when they see a camera. The one that convinced me that it was fake was the one where the guy lights the Montero on fire. Why would one of the Repo people let the guy just walk over to the truck "to get his stuff" without watching him when he was acting like an idiot foir the previous 10 minutes.

My dad passed away back in February. The scenes in the hospital last night were strikingly similar. A very powerful and sad episode...
