I just switched my phone over to them to see how it is.  Lil Stampie is still on my old provider.  Main reasons for switch is he's starting to need more data use and I hated my hotspot being limited to 600k.  Did a test after the switch and Visible tested at 29Mb instead of their advertised limit of 6Mb.  I did have issues last week just getting my account set up.  There was some strange glitch where I couldn't set up my payment and it took them 3 days to fix that.

It took three days for my new phone to activate, but my old plan was still working so it wasn't the end of the world.
That was in January, and no hiccups since. They send a nice email payment reminders out a week before it's due since I'm not a huge fan of auto pay. Service has been excellent, and trouble free. New iPhone 11, for reference.

I've recommended visible here in the past. None of the major carriers offer anything near as cheap.

Cool.  My activation went quick once I got the SIM card from them.  Even the port just took minutes.

Visible is a 100% owned entity of Verizon.  The main reason it's cheaper is all transactions — from signing up for service, to getting your SIM card, to activation, to paying your first month’s bill — take place in the Visible app. There are no Visible brick-and-mortar stores, and Visible only offers one product: a $40-per-month unlimited plan on the Verizon network.

So, no tying up operators and no help if you walk into a VZ store from the expensive employees.  For smart people with simple accounts, DIY customer service should be no problem.

Stampie and Bearfoot, you should start a GRM Party-Pay which is really just a friend referral but it could drop you both down to $25 per month when you have 4 .

Yeah I'm going to look into that once we switch Lil Stampie's  phone.  Just him and I will bring it down to $35 a month.

My MIL is in my party. Stampie, if you want to join, just let me know when you're ready. I'm sure you're aware there are no obligations or contracts. Just send a pm.

I'm starting to think these guys are idiots.  His phone wasn't compatable.  Don't know why as it's on a Verizon reseller now.  They have a trade in.  Well I have a phone I paid $1 for as a deal for signing up at the last provider.  I use that as my trade in.

His new phone comes in today.  Open the box and there's the phone with a battery loose.  Ok read the quick start.  It specifically says "Do not remove the back cover.  The battery is not removable.  Removal may cause fire or explosion."  The bold was theirs.  Ok ... why would the battery be loose?  So I pop back cover and install the battery that obviously is removable.

Boot up and it says there's no SIM card.  Look in the box.  No SIM card.  Remove the explosive fire causing back cover and SIM slot is empty.  What the BERK!

Their chat is busy.  Guess I'll have to deal with it later this evening.
