I'm about 2 hours west.
About 1/2 way between there and where I'm at, there's an awesome kart track, but you'd have to find a way to come up with a kart, as they don't do rentals anymore.
Website pictures don't show how much elevation change, banking there is along the track.
Its a pretty area, but there isn't much. Great cruising on the river road, tons of crappy little bars that are fun. You gotta to Poopys in Savanna at least once.
If you are a motorcycle guy, take a bike, there are TONS of them around that area.
There is also a cool brewery in an old church in Clinton.
Otherwise, thats all I got.

Clinton's kind of an armpit, I'm afraid. You're close (45min) to the Quad Cities which has a fair amount going. You'll also be 90 min from Cedar Rapids & Iowa City which also have a decent amount of shows and events.
As for car stuff, there's an active SCCA group in the Quad Cities, Great River Region, that has ten autocrosses a year. There's also Iowa Region SCCA out of the Cedar Rapids area which usually has 12+ autocross a year and (typically) 12 rallycross events. I'm the rallyX director for the region. We're going to fall short on rallyX events this year as we've had some venue issues.
There's a big street go kart race in Rock Island, IL (Quad Cities) every year. It's Labor Day weekend, in case you're here by then. Rock Island Grand Prix.
The Mississippi is great for boating on; I spent many days on the water as a teenager. If you have your own boat, you'll want to go out with someone experienced the first time as there's wing dams in the river that will tear your motor off.
My parents live nearby but I'm sure you wouldnt want to hang with them lol
