My part time job is at a restaurant. My supervisor (Luis) is of Mexican descent and normally uses his phone to play Mexican music while we're prepping for the day. It's the usual "Oompah-Loompah" Mexican polka stuff with lots of tuba and accordion and Spanish lyrics. Last Saturday a band came on playing really interesting, edgy rock. They were sort of like Southern Culture on the Skids with more polish. So I asked him if he knew who that band was and he looked at me like I was stupid and said it was "El Tri" and probably the best Mexican rock band of the last fifty years. I checked Amazon and they have lots of stuff by El Tri but I have no idea where to start--Can any of The Hive recommend a particularly good CD? I'll surf YT over the next week or so to see if I can find the song I heard.
