A friend of my Father's once helped him build out a concrete floor with a series of leftovers from his truck. Stuff that would get dumped otherwise. I know you guys have said before that concrete work particularly slabs should be done by pros but it seems damned if you can find them.

Sounds like you aren't into diy in this front, but I can tell you it's not difficult. I poured a 7 yd driveway in Northern VA with the wife and my 65+yr old folks (dad was in construction)... it was quoted at $8.50/Sqft- so roughly $4k-5k, and we did it for cost of materials at ~$1500.

Any reason you're thinking concrete? Around here it cracks with the frost heave and asphalt is more forgiving. Mine is 150ft. long, 9ft. wide, cost $5k; asphalt.
