my son wants to goto space camp.. so i am looking at flights.. what is the closest major airport?

If I remember correctly, Huntsville is about 1/3 of the way from Birmingham to Atlanta. Might want to look into flying into BHM, but ATL is probably cheaper.

That would be Huntsville International Airport. Huntsville is in the North Central part of the state near the TN boarder, about 100 miles north of B'ham and 250 miles northwest of Atlanta.

Huntsville would be best.
Next closest/busiest is likely Nashville, TN at just under 2 hrs away.

Yeah, Huntsville has a nice airport. I fly in/out of there routinely. Three times this year so far and will be there Monday morning again.
There are several of us that live here in the Huntsville area.
