I was watching some videos of the fires on CBC, and how close they are to the city. I have a niece there,so we're keeping in touch with her through her mother. Hope everything gets under control soon.

We have friends there. The fact that the fire jumped the lake is a little alarming. It's quite a big lake. Our friends have already been on evacuation alert a couple times this summer. Kelowna is very hot, very dry and get some good winds off the hills just like Hawaii.
