I have got to get off the internet and do some work today, but before I do you've got to see this tirade against the Democrats by Archie Bunker. And all these years I thought he was a Democrat.
I won't even begin to tell you how I found this because then I'd have to fire myself!

Apparently this was made during the energy crisis when gas was $1 a gallon.

Bob Hope pegged it "right" a few decades earlier:

Why yes.
I thought the show was funny but it got kind of repetitive.
Archie had an opinion about everything and usually he was right.
Here's what he had to say about VD and guns

Bob Hope could have also said "You mean like husbands?"

Yep!
Kudos for this skit where conservative Archie gets justice for using phony money - just like those of us depending on the printing presses at the US Treasury:

My wife follows a guy on Twitter called "E36 M3mydadsays" - the guy's dad seems like a real-life, uncensored Archie Bunker.
two things about Carter. He was too nice a guy to be president.. and as many a republican will tell you, he was the best thing that ever happened to the republican party.
He makes a MUCH better ex-president
Dunno about that. Peanut Grin manages to step on his own weenie pretty regularly. It pains me to realize that a guy that smart (he's a nuc engineer) can be such an idiot.
Oh man, we here in Georgia will never live that one down, NEVER, but he does have the honor of being the first president to smoke weed on top of the white house.
My biggest memory of the Carter era is that I made my first real investment during that period. I went in halves on a three year T-Bill with my dad and got a 15.6% interest rate.
Today, three year T-Bill’s pay around 1.6%. Of course, this is just a temporary artifact resulting from the massive liquidity infusion we’ve seen from the fed.
There’s a real irony here…as Winston Churchill said, “if you’re twenty and aren’t a liberal, you don’t have a heart and if you’re forty and aren’t a conservative, you don’t have a brain."
The hyper inflation that the idealistic liberal folks like Carter & Obama reliably create harm the young (their voter base) far more than those, like myself, that are established.
I’ve already accumulated a lot of the stuff I’m ever going to so when the Carter, Obama types monetize the debt to cover their spending sprees, I’m significantly insolated by being able to ride the wave up.
So there‘s the irony, most of the ridicule I get for my beliefs comes from kids and they actually stand to benefit more from my thinking then I do.
Hey kids, do you really think you can have all these massive entitlement programs without causing hyperinflation? Do you really think you can buy houses and stuff when prices are going up many multiples faster than you can save? Do you really think you’ll be better off owning little but getting lots of free stuff from the government…assuming they deem you worthy?

Frankly, better than a BJ from a fat intern.
Carter had the best brother-in-law of any president to date.

Fixed. Billy was much cooler than Roger. And I still haven't forgotten the 14-16% home mortgages.

And how in the name of screaming trees did he manage to come up with the ironclad credibility he seems to enjoy in most of the world that's not the US?
I've never understood that one either.

That's right it was his brother "Billy Beer'
14-16%? That was before the peak. I sold homes where the guys paid 6-8 points to get the rate down to 16%.
At the rate we are going you will see those rates again sooner rather than later.

did he really?
Oh yes, I know some old state troopers who worked for him back in the day.
And the vast majority have nothing good to say about him.
Their was at least a cotton wagon full of it smoked up there during those four years.
I believe that Willie Nelson admits he has smoked some with Carter when he stayed their in 78'.

Carter has made a career out of pandering and apologizing to countries who have been exploited by the great Satan. He has also concentrated on fostering the growth and consolidation of oppressive regimes.
A former POTUS (who has essentially refuted the principles upon which the US was founded) will be very popular amongst those who never believed in those principles.
Having said that, "Let the flame wars BEGIN!".
what about habitat for humanity?

Have you actually been involved with a Habitat for Humanity project? It's more of a PR effort than a real effort to find real deserving applicants.

yes, I have been involved in a house building project for Habitat for Humanity. The single mom who the house was being built for was there, working her ass off like the rest of us. She was also incredibly courteous, and thankful for what was taking place.
I saw no TV cameras, newspapermen, or other "PR". Just a bunch of people helping someone out that needed it.
Do they still leave a bible in each home constructed?
In other words, has the ACLU caught wind of the bible placement yet?
