So far I think it's pretty good. With Joss Whedon at the helm, I imagine it will get better. Have already seen two people he has used in his past shows.

I was very very surprised to see Samuel L Jackson make a cameo appearance tonight!

Hopefully it will stay on.

The world needs more shows made by Joss Whedon!

Nice touch with the Samuel L. Jackson cameo. Like how they are building the story line with the hacker girl too.

E36 M3 I missed it . . . Gotta get it added to the DVR.

Haven't watched this one, but the "pilot" was pretty bad. I'm a sci-fi nerd and was perfectly happy to cut a ton of slack, but it was just poorly written. We don't need an intense face shot of every character every time ANYTHING happens, and that rant by the good/bad guy at the end was outa nowhere and made no sense anyway. Seriously, I was pretty bummed, I wanted to like it

Haven't had the chance to watch the second episode yet, but hope to tomorrow (two weeks running I've not been able to watch it live... ). I enjoyed the first episode- as far as setup episodes where they introduce all of the characters go, it wasn't too bad. I just wish they'd not put it directly up against NCIS (which I still think is better- but I also have WAY more time invested in that show...) but thankfully the DVR can record 2 shows simultaneously.

I started watching last week, but lost interest real quick. I didn't bother to watch last night. Sadly, I probably won't bother again.

I will watch the second episode, simply because I want to see some sci-fi in primetime again. cop/law drama is friggin unbearable (save for Southland R.I.P.). Heroes came close to scratching the itch - its first season was actually entertaining as hell. But it went downhill fast from there.

But Im with bluej, I know it was a setup pilot episode, so you cant expect instant fireworks, but it was just so hokey...the story itself wasnt that bad - its mutants and superheros and whatnot, theres going to be a certain quantity of leeway given. But as far as was the way the episode was produced/written, it was a bit tough to watch. Hopefully they will find their way, quickly, and it can turn into the third and subsequent seasons that "Heroes" shouldve had.

OK, I had this discussion with a co-worker. I have not seen the second episode yet as I watched my Hot Chick's last episode on NCIS, so if this has been answered than so be it....

Colson dies in the Avengers. This takes place after the attack on NY. How is he still alive?

Overall, it was cheesey/campy but not bad. I will watch a few more to see how they turn out.

They ostensibly explain that in the first episode- he claims he was dead (heart stopped) for some time but that he was revived and spent a while in Tahiti (I think it was) recovering. The Avengers were just not told that he had survived because his death was the 'push' they needed to come together as a team with a common focus.

Then a few minutes later, several of the other characters in SHIELD including the woman who was in Avengers commanding the helicarrier allude that what Coulson explained (and believes) are not actually what really happened- but that he does not know, and can never find out, the truth. Presumably that mystery being answered will be one of the running plotlines over the course of the show since he's a central character in it.

The second episode was much better than the pilot. Lots less cheesey. Im gunna go and say colson is a clone. Rising tide is hydra or aim or some aliens. It really does play like a cop drama almost, and as soon as they stop fixating on name drops it should get much better. They do need to incorporate smaller real heroes tho. Luke cage or somebody.

That's what we had come up with. A tie in to the comics.
