I'm a renter, so I know squat about appliances. Is there a way to level a stove?

If I put grease in a pan, it all goes to the right side. If I were to guess, the stove is more than a few degrees off level.

Do stoves have screw-type leveling feet? Can someone walk me through this?

Are all of the burners crooked the same way? Gas or electric?

Yes. Doesn't matter which burner I use, all the grease pools to the right side of the pan. And it's gas.

Any one I've seen had screw leveling feet.

It either has leveling feet or (rarely) it's sitting on a base that should have been leveled. Either way, you're going to have to investigate.

If there's a drawer at the bottom, remove it. You should see feet on each corner that can be screwed up or down to adjust the height. Most of these feet have some way to get a wrench/socket/pliers onto them to help with the turning if you can't do it by hand.

And if by some strange chance it doesn't have leveling feet, get some shims and do it that way.

And if you really really are the renter type who doesn't own a level, there is an app for that.

You'll need to log in to post.
