After the clusterberkeley that was last Fall (with my near death experience head-on collision and subsequent 5 weeks in the hospital and countless hours of rehab/bullE36 M3 Dr's appointments/depression/lack of shop time, etc.) I have decided to take the bull by the horns and celebrate my 49th birthday by doing exactly what I want to do. One of the bands on my "must see" list has been the Dandy Warhols and since they're from Portland, OR and I'm in FL they don't get here often. So when I saw they were on tour and going to be in DC the weekend of my b-day I made the call and got tickets. I've got a sister that lives in Stirling so lodging and loaner car are covered!
So here is the schedule for the weekend so far:
Saturday night (16th): See Robbie Fulks at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA
Sunday night (17): See The Dandy Warhols at the 9:30 Club in DC
Other than that the weekend is open. If anyone wants to come see a band with me, please do. If there is an autoX or RallyX going on anywhere on Sunday, let me know. If anyone wants to grab brunch on Sunday morning I'm down for that too. I just plan to have a fun weekend.
