It's funny because today's forecasted high of 59°F is lower than tomorrow's forecasted low of 60°F.
Wednesday - High: 59°F, Low: 36°F
Thursday - High: 74°F, Low: 60°F
And then it's business as usual; highs in the low to mid 70s, lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Florida is awesome this time of year.

Best winters around. I lived near Boca for a couple of winters.
Low 20s last night here in Ga.. It's important cuz it kills a lot of the overwintering bugs and their eggs. I brought a bunch of potted plants in and a lot of little guys are flying around, even a wasp. Mostly lady bugs, though.

Apparently they're good eating too- it's basically raining food.

There's no iguanas in my area. Walt Disney doesn't allow it from his megafortress under space mountain.

A 15lb iguana makes a big dent in a car from a couple stories up. Usually at night, too. Crawl up in the afternoon when it's warmest to get a bit of direct sun, sun sets fast and then a few hours later.... WUMP.

I enjoyed this weather.
I forgot how much I hated working on cars in the cold, though. Forgot how much it hurts when you bark your knuckles on some cold iron when the tool slips. Didn't like it when I lived up north, don't like it now.

That one looks really fresh. Eat it.
A lot of times those Iguanas aren't dead just been slowed down by the cold so much they look dead. Bring one in where it's warm and shazam! That guys running frantic!
When the cold winters in '10 killed the Iguanas off in large numbers the neighborhood stunk for weeks as they decomposed everywhere.
I thought the ice cream truck wouldn't come through the neighborhood today and just take a day off because of the weather, I was wrong.

They're not running if they're taco meat.
The cold weather is weird here in Florida. Some of it I can attribute to the dramatic swings, but that's hardly exclusive to Florida.
I've seen 40 to 50 degree temperature drops in upstate New York and Canada, but somehow it feels more extreme here.
Some of it may be the humidity. I think I posted here before, that the coldest I've ever been when training racehorses was in pompano Park, which is just North of fort Lauderdale. 33 degrees, 5 miles inland from the Atlantic ocean, with a Northeast wind blasting.
I was freezing, wearing all of the same gear that was adequate in Canada.
In reply to Floating Doc :
That's very true about the humidity amplifying the cold, much as it does the heat. It's something we were definitely not expecting when we moved south.
Now i want to try eating an iguana taco!!!!
Ive been walking on the beach almost every day. The cold is nice, but getting sand blasted by the wind... that sucks. :)
Read a story yesterday about a guy that picked up some frozen iguanas and put them in his car... they warmed up and were not amused. Started thrashing around and caused an "accident".
Is it cold enough for J.G. to be wearing long pants? Does J.G. even own any long pants?
I actually had to wear a long sleeve shirt yesterday. Thankfully it's much warmer today. Heading back to lake city from ormond beach currently.

Annie and I were in Lauderdale-By-the-Sea from the 15th through the 20th and had four sunny days in the low eighties and a couple days a bit less than that but windy. All in all, pretty good. But I guess we got out just in time. While we were away it snowed here in RI and then went down into the teens. Glad we missed that. Now we're back in RI and the weather has moderated. We're looking forward to a couple weeks in Palm Sorings, CA starting Feb. 18.
