I took this easy test. I am disappointed that people can do poorly on it.

Yeah. I was REALLY disappointed when I gave it to my students, and they didn't get all of them (what was it, 13 questions??) correct.
My only complaint was the plate tectonics question. The addition of "scientists say" or "the concept of plate tectonics teaches that" would have allowed for the Young Earth Creationists to answer that question in a way that showed understanding without acceptance.....my recollection is the current wording requires them to take a stand as to what is true or false about the age of the earth.
It freaked me out when I got to question 14: are you male or female? How the heck does it know the correct answer?

Yeah, it would have been better if they had a screen that said, "You're done with the quiz. We'd like to compare your score to people of the same gender and age" before asking that question.
"You scored better than 93% of the public and the same as 7%"
That test should be renamed "Are you barely aware of technology" because any one who is should have aced it with a 12 or better. It is a bad sign that the creators of that test felt it was for the savvy.
If you scored better than 93% of the public then maybe you ARE savvy. Savvy? I feel like a pirate saying savvy.
Are we all getting the exact same grades?
13 of 13 correct.
You scored better than 93% of the public and the same as 7%.

I would trade both v's to get an 'xe' in that line.
Bam, 13 out of 13, didn't have to use my brain for most of them. Some of those, you'd have to be scary-dumb to get wrong.
13 of 13. The low correct ratio on question 7 explains how people can get sucked into paying more to have their tires inflated with nitrogen.

I predict a spate of girls-with-glasses in the GGA thread.

I use a custom blend of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% argon with the rest being trace gasses.
