I know there's a few shooters 'round these here parts. And as I'm showing off my AR that I just finished, would you Gents care to have an arsenal thread?

Here is my modest but still growing collection. From top to bottom:

Mosin-Nagant M44 Marlin 60 (which just get a set of Tech sights and is about to get a sling) Franken AR15 Gen 4 Glock 19

I've been shooting the Marlin a lot lately, which is good cause ammo is so cheap. So show me what you've got!

I try not to show my arsenal. It makes people nervous (but it's not that impressive anyway.)

Disclaimer: I know almost nothing about English football, but I do know this is a big team that probably is hated by Arsenal (not that that is in way unusual in English football)

I always figured that if I had a big arsenal, the last thing I'd want to do is let the entire world know about it...

I've got a Remington 870 12 ga Tactical 18.5" bbl, IMI Baby Eagle .40 S&W, H&K G3 7.62x51 (.308), Marlin 917 .17 HMR bolt action, Browning Plinkster .22 semi-auto, and whatever rifle my father in law leaves for the wife to hunt with.

The H&K G3 was a "berkeley you" to my ex-girlfriend who HATED guns. The day she dumped me, I went out and bought it. I'll post pix when I can find them. LOL

Caliber is the distance for one revolution of rifling divided by the bore diameter. This is a 155mm, but it's still a 50 cal.

Seems an appropriate place for this story.

An Arizona Department of Safety Officer pulled over a pick-up truck owner for a faulty taillight. When the officer approached the driver, the man behind the wheel handed the officer his driver’s license, insurance card and concealed weapon carry permit. The officer took all the documents, looked them over and said. "Mr.. Smith, I see you have a CCP. Do you have any weapons with you?" The driver replied, " Yes sir, I have a 357 handgun in a hip holster, a .45 in the glove box and a .22 derringer in my boot." The officer looked at the driver and asked, "Anything else?" "Yes sir, I have a Mossberg 500 12 gauge and an AR-15 behind the seat." The officer asked if the man was driving to or from a shooting range and the man said he wasn't, so the officer bent over and looked into the driver's face and said "Mr. Smith, you're carrying quite a few guns. May I ask what you are afraid of?" Mr. Smith locked eyes with the officer and calmly answered,

"Not an berkeleying thing!"

Little story said: I was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in the house. I said I did. She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!' To which I said, of course it is loaded, it can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you that afraid of someone evil coming into your house?' My reply was, “No not at all. I am not afraid of the house catching fire either, but I have fire extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too”.

Thats a damn funny story.

Kinda reminds me of the one about a guy getting pulled over for speeding the cop comes up to his window and says "Boy I just caught you goin 100 in a 55 MPH zone. Do you you have a license to fly?" Guy promptly pulls out his pilots license and hands it over. Cop rather floored just hands everything back and tells him to slow down.

Impressive arsenal for a Canadian.... I thought you guys just asked the bolts nicely if they wouldn't mind backing off just a bit... :)

I don't have any guns, yet. But, I do have three swords and a main-gauche, plus some training blades.

Well I wouldn't call my arsenal big, and I never got the "don't let people know you have guns". I've posted pictures of my guns several places and haven't had anything bad happen.

That's a new one on me, and I don't believe it. I can buy the same gun with different rates of twist, and it's the same caliber. It doesn't change because of changes in the rate of twist.

My understanding of caliber for rifled barrels of firearms is the decimal measurement of the bore in inches, roughly.
