As the subject says, my almost 11 year old daughter has a Surface Pro, and I'm getting her phone of those cool styluses for her birthday.

She's an artistic type and I think she'll enjoy digital painting/drawing.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good windows digital painting programs that would be appropriate (i.e., not Photoshop) for a 11 year old?

Adobe sketchbook is what we use here.  The wife and daughter use it on Android and I use it on an older Surface.

It's also free, which blows my mind.

I've been using inkscape with my huion pro 16 mated to a win10 laptop, which is sorta like a surface. Also free.

Sketchbook is a good idea since it will have some commonality with the Adobe suite of products, which will be goof for you daughter be familiar with if she goes into any digital art.

You'll need to log in to post.
