This is very true. Most in the middle don't give a flying berkeley. While I lean towards the "They're too strict currently" side, I don't mind where they currently are(with one exception)
Also, berkeley the NRA, and berkeley the various grabbers.....they can all go to hell.

all of those costs are figured in to the price of the product or service, and are passed on to the consumer … (as are taxes) how the dickens would you expect a company to stay in business if the just ate the "costs of doing business" … no profit = bankrupt … I don't understand why this is so hard to come to grips with ….

I'm pretty sure the last time I saw the 58% number was post Sandy Hook. Never let a good tragedy go to waste.
I'm fairly sure the numbers now being shown are in the low 40s again. Or lower if you feed from the NRA trough (this coming from someone that paid NRA dues.)
Its odd how deep the red/blue divide is getting. You'd think that instead of inflaming the situation our "representatives" would want to do something rather than grand stand and gerrymander. "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche." I guess.
