Ok cool. Tell him after he's better I'm going to beat him for scaring me.
I'm finally out of the ICU, ready to start rehab tomorrow.
It's been an adventure. I was one O2 until Friday mid morning and hadn't had solid food until yesterday morning, powered eggs no less, I guess eggs are heart healthy afterall. Thursday they discovered a pulmonary embolism, that was expected to have been pre existing, i.e. developed during covid and in all likelihood caused this, or at least was a strong contributing factor. I'm breathing better now than I have since February and was able to walk up and down a hallway yesterday and could do a full loop around the department floor today. It's better to be lucky then good. I asked about getting a hand bike and was told no that things would be taken slowly. I reminded them that I know Ritu and Katie I'm occupational therapy and they lamented that I'll likely have a handbike in my room before the end of week, but are stern about not getting in the pool for another 4 weeks minimum.
I too was surprised to get eggs every day in the cardiac wing. Good luck with the mending, don't try to rush too much.

I'm glad you got help in time, the embolism/heart story is way too familiar. Could you do us all a favor and try not getting sick for a little while.

I'll do my best. I've now received last rites twice in 2020, if they could stop with that, it'd be nice. I'd say that I want to be able to fast forward to 2021 to start a new, but that's not how things work. As much of a struggle as it is we have to fight to progress.
Apparently Thursday evening two guys on the production side from work brought 2 cases of freshly canned brew and 2 bottles of rye to the front desk to be taken to the ICU nurses. Brew karma works. I found out about it Friday and have to say that my coworkers are brilliant people. Seeing the appreciation of what I do by those keeping me alive brightened my spirits.
Jeebus dude, last rites? Yeah, please stop doing this. Really glad you’re on the way back and your coworkers sound awesome.

I would think that it's definately time to find another hobby!

Do I hear a song title in there?
I can't say I didn't think of that too lol
I got home last night. Home care is paying visits, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I managed to sleep last night. The dog has been my shadow since my neighbors brought her back over, I think the dog thought I didn't make it. My neighbors are now looking at border collie mixes to adopt, they had lost all 3 of their dogs within the past 7 months and had said that they, understandably so, weren't ready.

My email is Wally13us at yahoo. We're still unsure about time off for the rest of the year.

Glad that you're home. Rest up and rehab so we can see you next year.
I've got 11 weeks, the 323 isn't feasible with me not at full strength, but 10 weeks of recovery and 4 days to do motor mount install, brakes, coilover install, alignment, tires, glovebox install and maybe scuff and reclear the roof and hood on the escort before driving down is possible. It'll likely be a late call, but I'm not ruling it out.
