Talking about possibly switching to it since we already have AT&Ts craptacular internet. I just want to hear what people have to say about it because I'm more than happy with Dish but others are barking for this.

I have it. For the same price as Comcast, we got more movie channels (added Cinemax, Showtime, and a couple of minor channels), a DVR, and internet that was 3 times as fast (Comcast peaks out at 6 megs here, ATT peaks out at 18 megs.)
What I don't miss is the amount of outages we had with Comcast. We had one at least once a week. It was impossible to get techs out. We've had one tech out to fix an issue, and the troubleshooting on the phone was along the lines of "Is it plugged in and still not working? Okay, here's a tech dispatch."
I have it. Better value than Time Warner cable, especially once you bundle your cable, internet, home phone and all that crap.
Downside: When it goes down, it's ALL down. Feel like you need passenger pigeons or smoke signals or something.
Beats the hell out of their cellular service, though, both in quality and customer service.
I have the Uverse VDsl only. but, far far more stable than ATT's AsDSL. in 9 months, I've had to powercycle their craptacular modem once
Ugh. I've had AT&T dsl before, and it maxed out (Practically: at my house) at about a third of what their marketing dept will tell you. I was getting 1.5 Mb, when we had signed up for 6. Naturally, they didn't care we weren't and couldn't get it, as long as we get paid for it. If I wanted to pay for it, I can get Comcast past 10Mb here. I have a great local office, and know plenty of people on the inside. I'll stick to what I can manage.
That is one thing to note. While two people may have the "same" service, one may have FTTP, one may have VDSL. Fiber to the prem is better, but there isn't any difference in the end product. You can't get super speeds like FiOS, but you can still do pretty well.
I did think of another complaint, and that's ping times.
While I was running that test, another thought. U-Verse is IPTV. When you're watching TV or recording to DVR, your internet speeds might be taking a hit. I'm on a 25 meg provisioned line with an 18 meg internet package. If you're on anything lower, you'll never notice, but as you can see above, I'm taking a slight hit for running 2 TV streams right now.
Your cable boxes run a Windows CE variant. It's not horrible, but it takes about 5 minutes to boot a box after a power cycle.
We have it, no complaints. I like it better than the comcast that I have here at school, although one thing I like about comcast better is that every time I've called customer service (too many times) I've been connected with someone who sounds like they are in Georgia rather than Pakistan.
I got it dumped the tv and use it for internet love it for that! Tv service is great but too much money to me.
I have U-Verse, and my only complaint with them after comcast is that because i'm at the limit in terms of distance from "the box," my service can get spotty in storms.
When it's working, though, it's awesome, and it's only a problem a couple times a month. Still way better than ComCrap.
I've honestly never heard of it. Maybe offered in a few select markets?
Here it's comcast or satellite. There are no other options. Verizon is running FIOS in the area, but I don't know if they'll ever run it into my little neighborhood.
