yep, proud to say I actually saw this show the first time last night.

These guys are a riot. My butt-suck cable does not have BBC.

I saw the trailer/camping show and the home made amphicar show.

I loved the humor of these guys. Am I the only one? Are these guys funny or not?

The whole gang is awesome. My fav is Hammond, followed by the Stig.

Oh no, you're not alone. Absolutely hilarious! I downloaded all 12 seasons and typically have them running on a loop during the weekends.

No, you're not the only one. Pure genius. We should create a list of must-see episodes.

Mine: 1.) Sabine Schmiz tries to break ten minutes at Nurburgring..in a Ford Transit Van. 2.) 1500 Pound (currency, not weight) Porsche Challenge. 3.) The Great American Road Trip. 4.) Killing a Toyota. 5.) The Hamster drives the Renault F1 car. 6.) May ("Captain Slow") takes the Bugatti Veyron to it's top speed.

Anyone else?

Corvette chases a fiesta in a mall. Vietnam spe ial. Polar special. Amphicar episodes. Greatest driving road search episode, May is so miserable in that episode. I could go on, and on, on....and on.

The Arctic expedition

The Kalahari expedition

The Vietnam special

The Alfa Romeo Challenge.

The British Leyland Challenge

The 10,000 pound italian supercar challenge.

Any of the Car versus Hammond and May races. The GT-R in Japan, the Veyron with the truffle, the McLaren and the Boat, etc.

The 24 hour race in the Diesel BMW

The British Leyland challenge was awesome. As was the amphibious car challenge, parts 1 and 2.

The polar, Africa and Vietnam ones were fantastic. The factual and non-entertaining US visit with the musclecars was fun too. And Sabine in the van was a riot.

That was the best one, by far. No doubt about it.

Holy cow, how on Earth did I forget to mention that one! That was a special, right?

I think the Vietnam special has been my favourite so far.

Also great, but not been mentioned yet:-

*May goes to Finland to learn rally driving (from Mika Häkkinen)

*Hammond in Ferrari Daytona vs May in Power boat along the Riviera.

*The gang vs their German equivalent (ft. Sabine Schmitz)

I love the race across London. Stig in the subway was priceless. Or building a Lotus 7. They are not mechanically inclined! Or Tom F-ing Jones in the Reasonably-Priced Car! I love the humor like smashing the Morris Marina. Twice.

Top Gear Australia is nowhere as good, but I love Holdens so I watch it too. Oh, and 5th Gear is another place to see cars ripping it up on track. Again, not in the same league as Top Gear, but a car show is a car show.

I probably watched that part about a dozen times, I love when he's reading the paper and sees the bit about Hamilton and then throws the paper down!

Top Gear is the best, my wife even likes it. Talking about 5th Gear, I like it but it is more business that TG. My son and I met Tiff last year at the ALMS race at Mid Ohio, he was filming something on the Aston Martin GT2 team, seemed like a nice guy.

The one with May and Mika Häkkinen was wicked, also where he learns driving from Jackie Stewart.

The amphicar and all challenge car ones rock. The britcar 24 was unreal too!

They all are awesome. Can't wait till june

Did you see the real show or the edited for american TV version? The only way to properly see top gear is via download.

Anyone get the feeling Clarkson doesn't actually know anything about cars? He likes to say things like, "this car has 400 torques." My review of the show: http://www.examiner.com/x-6699-Pittsburgh-Autos-Examiner~y2009m4d1-Which-Top-Gear-Presenter-Are-You

No. So he uses the wrong terminology. Doesn't mean he doesn't know anything. Biased? Yes, extremely. But he does know a lot about cars.
