Hi all

Bought a utility trailer last week for pulling my sled and etc.

This one here!

Anyway, it's a 5x10 fully galvanized utility trailer with sides and a fold down sorta ramp. It has a galvanized floor too, but I'm mulling over whether I should slap some 5/4 PT decking on it or just doing the roll-on or spray-on bed liner in a bucket. This thought is mostly due to my experience over the winter with a steel floored rental trailer - very slippy...

I know there are a lot of trailer experienced people on here, so what's the consensus?

Thanks!

Bedliner probably won't stick too long. Throw a sheet of plywood in and call it a day.

Why do you say that? It sticks to pickup truck beds, why would this be much different?

(not being argumentative, looking for your reasoning in the statement as I'm considering bedlining part of our boat trailer)

I've had good success with it on subwoofer boxes before, but my worry is how it will stick to galvanized steel. My plan is to use something 2 part like the Rustoleum kit, and maybe even buy a cheapo shutz gun to apply it.

I'll also use my orbital sander with some decent grit to give it something to hold on to.

Galvanized steel. To make anything stick to it, you need a special primer.

Look into durabak. They use it on aircraft carriers(supposedly)it should work on the trailer.
