SB6183 modem with the "Osprey" 1.5.x.x firmware will do nicely up to around 300mb/sec downloads, whatever the provider can shovel into the upload, and won't saddle you with erratic ping timing like the SB6141.

The CM8200 (SB8200 in retail) is a great forward-leaning modem, capable of running full DOCSIS 3.0 spectrum (32x4), as well as working with DOCSIS 3.1 as the providers get it turned up.

It is easy to set up, works well and if you don't like being your own IT guy and messing with WRT and the like, just spend the money and get Amplifi. The mesh points work. I can get wifi out on my dock now because the mesh point in the garage I have pointed that direction.

Same I work from home 2-3 days per week, and if I'm doing something where I don't have to be using the dual monitors I'd prefer to be somewhere else in the house.

AmpliFi it is, now I'll do some more searching on the modem.

The girlfriend wanted me to get cable TV again, so as part of the package they are bumping up the internet to 300mbs down and 30mbs up. Should help nicely.

Perfect, seems like this setup will keep me good to go for years.
