All 3 your threads? The main question is were they all made around the same time? I'm pretty sure there's a 3-4 month period missing from 2019 or so.

About 2 months ago under that name, a few years ago under his old name.

How did I miss it until now?
Who's Stampie going to tease now?

Yes all 3. Two were made within the last 12 months. One was made around 2019 or so but it existed up until a few months ago it seems. I could find two of them on google including photos I shared, but the third was just a simple sales ad. The other two would be impossible to replicate really.

Ask yourself this-
What would be the the point of deleting a few of your (non combative) threads?

That's a great question. I don't know the answer to it. Do you? I know the threads are gone though.

I once had a few posts edited to include things I had never said. I had a rather direct conversation with the mod who had done it, and made it clear I was totally not ok with it.
I believe the vast majority of the time things are both well intentioned and well handled. But there have been times when things didn't go as planned.
Rather than speculate here, ask the staff.
If you think there was no reason to delete them, that is likely correct. The mods aren't just drunkenly mashing the delete button, the forum just loses things to the void sometimes.

I once had every one of my threads deleted.
It wasn't intentional. Mistakes are made, but unless there is a rogue mod looking to delete your build thread out of spite without touching your more combative stuff, I don't see a reason for it.
But I can see things glitching and disappearing as it has happened more than once before. In the recent past, no less.

Was this in a for sale post or a build thread? And how long ago was this?
As I said, this isn't an issue with anything contentious that was said, as far as I can tell. This involves missing threads that shouldn't be at all controversial in the slightest. So unless someone is going off on their own and being petty, I find it a bit of a stretch to say that those threads were intentionally deleted. There is nothing to gain from it. Especially from GRM's standpoint. If they were tired of OP, he would just get the mguar treatment.
In reply to ProDarwin :
I did ask. So far no reply but it is late on a weekend.
In reply to Russian Warship, Go Berkeley Yourself :
No idea. I'm not really one to speculate. I prefer to know more before saying anything. A glitch once seems likely, twice, possible, three times far less likely.

Are you paying attention?
All of my threads were deleted.
Every single one.
If you truly weren't one to speculate, you would have just asked the GRM staff instead of continuing to make insinuations that it was done on purpose.
In reply to Russian Warship, Go Berkeley Yourself :
See 3 posts above. I could ask you the same question.

Wow. Why would anyone think it would be ok to edit a post to include things someone never posted. Just wow.
In reply to AnthonyGS (Forum Supporter) :
You could, but that would be silly since I am not insinuating that it was done on purpose.
Anthony, I think you're banned and just don't know it.

Strange. I scored a cool part for my Miata this weekend and was going to update my old build thread. It's gone missing though. And I was going to lower pricing on some for sale items also gone.
Can you DM me some details on these threads please? There has been 0 communication among the moderators about deleting any threads, least of all yours, and it's not the kind of thing done by a single person in a vacuum.
That being said, we absolutely have had a not insignificant number of threads go missing thanks to legit software glitches, and if we get enough information, such as post date, old links, etc, we have been able to resurrect more than one.

Yes, over a month ago. It was his second banned profile (he was also mguar).
In reply to AnthonyGS (Forum Supporter) :
There was a miscommunication among staff when you were sent your last warning letter from mods, with the sender reporting you had not sent the required acknowledgment to the warning and were thus on the list to be nuked. I had literally just pushed the nuke button when he clarified that you had responded positively and in his opinion you deserved a stay of execution, so the nuke was aborted--apparently after it had deleted your three threads, for which I apologize. Those threads are gone, but at this point you are welcome to recreate them and of course create more, with our thanks for your adherence to forum rules these last weeks.

Well, this didn't age well

This is kinda like finally cleaning the garage and throwing away that last thingamabob you've been holding onto for years and the following week one of your projects suddenly needs that thingamabob. Never fails!

Thanks for the explanation Margie.
I didn't realize the difference between "ban" and "nuke". I understand why you would need a tool like that (for spammers, etc), but I'm really saddened that it was used on Frenchy.
His posts had become toxic and it was important (and difficult) to do something, but he also had years of valuable content posted here. He may have been that awkward uncle who nobody wants to talk with at Thanksgiving, but he was still family.
Deeply saddened.
In reply to SV reX :
Sadly, all bans nowadays are nukes, because not only do we not have the bandwidth to pick and choose "good" posts from those that negatively affect users' experiences here, but time has also taught us that the loss of one's content is the only real consequence to poor behavior here. Otherwise trolls return under a different username and email and just keep posting in their threads--which then, unsurprisingly, usually devolve again.
