The Top 40 in the 2010's will be even more retarded/unmemorable. The lowest common denominator went so low that popular music is beneath nursery rhymes in terms of quality.

"I'm a Believer" The Monkees. But..... 1967 actually had a lot of other good music happenings, so the year wasn't a total loss.

Negative. I grew up in the 80's, but most of my music influences were 90's Gangsta Rap. Easy E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, etc. West Coast rap was my shizzle yo.

I still listen to it and when they shout out stuff like "One nine nine to da tray" my 15 yr old says, "What's that?" I have to explain it's 1993, and 3 years before she was born. Then I turn it off and back to Justin Bieber for her...

It's interesting to go far back in time.

1944- I'll be seeing you- classic end of war song. 1945- Sentimental Journy- for some reason, when I was a kid, I "sang" this song for two weeks straight. no idea why

It's Too Late/I Feel the Earth Move by Carole King. I remember listening to that song on road trips. My dad put all of my parents records on cassettes and I have fond memories of riding in the car at 3 am smelling coffee and listening to those tapes.
