Is this a seperate series from what was last year called the FIA GT series?

Not sure about the FIA GT series, but the Blancpain series is a new series that expands on the 24 hours of Spa, which is a huge race with cars built to FIA GT3 and GT4 specs.

I wish there were a series in America that featured FIA GT3 and 4 cars. They are already being made, and there is such a variety available, there should be somewhere to race. I hear that Grand-Am will soon be making FIA GT3 spec cars legal for their GT class, but I haven't heard anything on that in a while.

Last year Speed aired the FIA GT series during off season. That is some great racing to watch. They get very intense @ times like the BTCC.
