Ordered 11/2022, shipped to dealer 7/2023, 194 days in 'jail'... finally in-hand!
In reply to Rodan :
You are so lucky. Where I live they are not allowed at all. I wish they were. My hearing would appreciate it.
Is there anyone else here who owns a Dan Wesson revolver? Looks like those have gone the way of the dinosaurs...
In reply to stroker :
I don't, but I bet my mom still has her .357 mag. It was an anniversary present from my dad. No prizes for guessing who has fired it more.
In reply to dean1484 :
Once you start shooting suppressed, you start getting offended with how 'loud' everyone else is... LOL.
Not such a big deal on handguns, but centerfire rifles are soooo much more pleasant to shoot suppressed. And .22s are fantastic... no hearing protection required with subsonic ammo.
In reply to stroker :
Dan Wessons were always rare compared to S&W, but now that you hardly see revolvers in most shops, they're really rare.
In reply to Rodan :
Didn't CZ buy Dan Wesson? Not sure if they even make them anymore TBH, although I am seeing Colt revolvers again since they also were purchased by CZ.
CZ bought DW in the early 2000s, but I don't believe many (if any) revolvers were produced between the early 1990s when DW went bankrupt and 2018 when they were re-introduced under CZ. They have since been discontinued again. Colt seems to be selling a lot of Pythons lately, so maybe CZ will bring them back again...?

Which is precisely why I raised the question. My Pinto 445 needs a companion...
One of my oldest friends is in town visiting, so I took him to the range today. He shot some .22 rifle competition back in high school, but had a serious run-in with brain cancer about 20 years ago. He survived but is severely disabled, and hadn't been behind a gun since.
Today, he shot my .22 1911 and my CZ 457, off the bench, as he is unable to hold them normally.
He did just fine with the rifle...
I am going to pattern the m2 tomorow. It was shooting about 8" high when we had it out last weekend shooting skeet.

I have one, first new gun I bought, around 1980. 6" barrel and a few speed loaders. Haven't shot it years. Nice piece.
I patterned the M2 and it is shooting high. I can just go higher with the rear site but that will not work well with the cheek weld so I am considering a red dot. Any recommendations for a red dot on a inertia based shotgun? It has a pick rail on it.
Just use a handgun red dot.... much less bulky than a long gun optic. I'm running a Holosun 507 on my Beretta.
Got a P365 and Ruger Hawkeye 308 last night.
Any recommendations for pocket holsters for the 365 to break up the outline? It has a TLR-6 on it, but I'm okay ditching that to fit a holster better.

I'm not a big fan of pocket carry for something the size of a P365 (or for striker guns in general), but I have an Uncle Mike's pocket holster that works OK for my Bodyguard .380.

I will use a Kydex holster for IWB for pocket if I have to do that. I remove all the attachment stuff. I use Tulster products on some of my IWB stuff and it has been ok.
I recently got a Black Scorpion Gear holster for my VP9 and am very pleased. The trigger is completely covered. You would be hard-pressed to get a piece of paper into the trigger.

I don't know if they make something for the 365 but I have used them for several other things and they make quality stuff.

I'm a fan of active retention. I prefer the Bianchi Carrylock OWB. I have never had a pocket large enough to carry any of my edc's so I can't help with that.
Holsters! Relevant.
I've had a bad experience with a company that took my money, and two months later still hasn't shipped the piece, or responded to any calls, texts, or email. "Guaranteed to ship in 3-5 days!"
So while I try to get my credit union to charge back the seller, I'm shopping for a different solution.
Recommend me something IWB, reasonably comfortable, and not terribly expensive.
Right handed, preferably appendix, fits G47. TIA!
I had an alien gear cloak tuck first gen when it was leather/kydex for my 24/7 Compact. It took a little time to break in (couple weeks) but once it was I rarely knew it was there. The problem with the first gen was the leather makes a fat man like me sweat. I've been tempted to try their newer version for the 1911 compact.
I much prefer leather, but there's something to be said for kydex for IWB for striker guns. Rigid, full trigger coverage is a good thing with striker guns. I have an Alien Gear setup for my P365XL, and it's pretty comfortable for all day carry.
I ordered a Rawdogtactical IWB jobby, leather backed kydex, based off a recommendation from a coworker. That's the one that hasn't shipped after two months.
Im looking at an IWB lock leather from Urbancarry, but not sure I want to fork it out.
OWB units are cheaper across the board, and the only place I plan to really carry is at the range or in the mountains on the XR, so open isn't exactly an issue. Idk. Too many options out there.
Finally found a Daniel Defense H9(left) to go with my Hudson H9(right). Can't wait to set up some steel tomorrow and give the DD a rundown.
Also, apologies it's my first time using the photo upload on here and it's a bit wonky.
