Would love to be that kid, but preferably with a plane where the pilot bailed out before hitting the ground. Human remains in a wreck, not thanks, I don't have the stomach for that.

That is an amazing story. Doesn't look like much sheet metal survived, which isn't surprising. I hope they can return the remains to the family for a proper funeral.

I often have to walk vacant, abandoned and undeveloped property for my job. I have thought about what I might do if I come across a body and it usually involves pooping my pants.

That's awesome for the kid and for WWII history.

However, laughing at the terrible reporting calling it a "jet fighter" when inverted-V piston engine is clearly sitting behind the kid.
