Were as I like the idea, I'd rather see the money put into eliminating national debts, etc

Eliminating national debts, etc. doesn't generate hundreds of millions worth of spinoff technologies or create wicked cool jobs for scientists and skilled professionals.

Nor does it help when a big asteroid sneaks up around the sun and kills us.

I'm all for it, but somebody better find some Dilithium Crystals STAT.
