Not terribly fast, is it? I bet Wally could do better.

Not to throw a wet blanket on the proceedings, but I can't help but wonder if the association of high speed with public transportation is a good idea, what with the recent fatal Amtrak wreck, which appears to have been the direct result of excessive speed.
Carry on!
Maybe a land speed record for a bus running on biofuel, but not an absolute record - I've ridden on regular buses going faster than that.

Does Wally actually drive a bus or does he dispatch?
Pretty sure I've been passed by a charter bus going faster than that on the interstate. Those guys fly up and down I-95 to Fla.
I wonder if there was a previous record to break. 80 is pretty good without changing the rear gears and running those little tires. Ours seem to run out of steam at about 55-60 but I thought that at least on our older diesels there was more to be had with higher gears. An over the road coach like an MCI will do 80 miles an hour without breaking a sweat and feel good doing it.
I am done driving. Eight years was enough and now I just watch them and shuffle paper.
Now off to look at some auctions to see what I can find to break a record.
