Lately I've been perusing the ground zero of online cheap Chinese crap: AliExpress
I love cheap R/C cars, no idea why. I have several. Now I want another mini R/C and I've found this:

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, maybe it explodes on the first run. I'm willing to lay $25 down just for the experience. My idea is to get a VISA gift card for payment so my credit card number doesn't end up in the wrong hands.
If the car is decent, I'll pick up two more for my boys and we'll start a driveway spec racing league.
Don't worry about your credit card number ending up in the wrong hands, they're a very legit business, they just sell a lot of very non-legit items

That's what prepaid Visa cards are for.
uhmmm did you see this in the suggested items?

It's up to you, but I personally wouldn't bother with the extra effort. I worry about my credit card at gas stations & restaurants, not the websites of online shopping megacorps.
Seems to be the place for Saab folk to go for the GM type scanners. I don't see complaints on the Saab boards about problems or ripoffs. I'll probably end up getting one myself in a month or two through Aliexpress. The price is about 1/4 ebay, and 1/10'th anywhere else.
Hmm....
What's shipping like? Normal wait a month for it to show up from China?

That's what credit cards are for, and exactly what I use mine for. If I think it's sketchy, out comes the Visa. Zero liability. How can you lose?

i have a business to business account on alibaba, but you need to buy in multiples. aliexpress is the one at a time consumer site. i have been contemplating getting a pallet of tiles shipped in from china, the language barrier is strong even though the company rep speaks "english"
i should buy a lot of the snow cat ones and sell them to you guys.

I love me some aliexpress. Takes forever to get parts, sometimes it doesn't. Dont believe the "us shipping", last one that said that shipped from Sweden...
Its hit or miss as to whether the parts are good and or as described though. And clothes are Asian sizing. Seriously, I usually wear a L or XL, I didnt fit in the XXXL jacket.
Some people have had really really good luck with bicycle parts. To my eye the look like BMC frames that were made in the same factory just without the stickers after the main order was finished. Once I can buy good carbon wheel covers for tri's there after someone takes the risk first I am down.
I somehow wound up on their mailing list and I just want it to go away. Luckily, Google marks most of their email as Spam.

Seriously.. this is how people make money on Ebay-Amazon. Find a "good supplier" on Alibaba.. GEt them to "private brand" item for you.. Get unique UPC code ($1k per item). Sell on FBA, make profit.
I order on there all the time. Shipping takes forever, but I never had any problem with the transaction. And all but one product have been just fine. The exception being an "action" camera that lasted all of 4 uses. But then it was 30$. EVERYTHING is made in China these days, not just crap.
I just found their retro video game section. I already have an AceKard for my Nintendo DS (runs games from a microSD card). Apparently they have similar cartridges for the SNES and N64. I may put my cheap RC jones aside for a N64 game cart.

I came in here to post this.
I was more interested in this one:
Sega Genesis Everdrive
That's pretty damn cool, if you ask me!
