Fine, go for it. I'm vaxxed, my young kids are vaxxed, I'm not a lunatic on either side of this debate. Once the usual suspects crawl in here and start crapping over everything it will get locked and that will be the end of it. I'll start a new thread for a welfare check on Donebrokeit.

I'm less than 3 miles from St. Joe's, it's literally the hospital where I happened to have been their first covid admission, and yet I'm unable to check in on him. Have of the staff I know has left UMMS for Hopkins or to travel over the past 21 months. I have 3 nurses who I still know within the UMMS that I'll check in with, yes total HIPPA violation, but we know how to tap dance and inquire without inquiring. 

Does anyone know his last name? I'll be at St Joe's later today, and lots of the time if you ask someone in person, they tell you before the realize they shouldn't

I think you have the best shot at this. If we have a last name, we could probably dig up a spouse or relative via the lookup thread tools we had on here a few weeks back and see what's up.

I googled his name and got some results that seem likely complete with address and phone number.  

It's a pretty distinctive last name, a Google search gets some results but I'm not sure we really need to go there quite yet

It's an interesting sign of modern social interaction that donebrokeit's friends don't know his last name and he's met very few of them in person. 

I have no ability to do anything to help him, but I'm rooting for him. I hope we get a personally delivered update soon but he's got more important stuff to deal with first. 

I have a few confirmed phone numbers of his that don't pop in online searches that are getting the same results, I've shared them with a few offline to use to check in. I've always checked with Baltimore county and York county where the no news is good news situation holds merit.

I had a few emails and texts out, I assume the same results as you, sounds like you made contact so no reason to bombard them. Lousy update, but I guess it's better than the unknown. 

Part of me really hopes that I have messed this up and Hannah isn't real somehow. Doesn't matter how little I know Paul, every life is precious, and this is a terrible time.
