A little duct tape and JB Weld, and you'll be as good as new!

It's fine--just turn it upside down and don't fill it past half, then it won't leak!

That's pretty close to normal for a square Chev, I'd say. Its amazing how little they leak when the plastic rust catcher full of mud is still on the tank.

Yep, pretty normal especially the farther north you go. I have a good 20 gallon tank from my 79 GMC dually sitting around (put EFI tank in it) with no use for it. Too bad you aren't closer, you could have it for free.

Get about 40 of those gas tank repair kits and you'll be back on the road in no time..

Looks like that was the tank that never got used, so it just rotted away.

Yup. When I bought the truck many years ago, the P.O. let me know that the PS tank had been replaced, but not the DS tank. So I just never used that tank. The front part of the plastic cover was full of dirt and rust, and did a very good job of trapping moisture against the tank.

No no, turn it upright and you can use like 90%
