And therein lies the problem.
All of my tubes (minus the 12ax7 in the amp) are all kind of off beat for guitar or hi-fi tube amps. And I don't know enough to start substituting one triode/tetrode/pentode for another... I haven't made the connection between tube data sheets and why the surrounding circuit/power supply is the way it is. I think I need a book.
