If Seattle's mayor had thought to ban soda they'd still have train service. http://www.kimatv.com/news/offbeat/Seattle-light-rail-train-slices-open-semi-hauling-Mountain-Dew-156373285.html?tab=gallery&c=y&img=0

Remember when Gary Larson's people complained about the hotlink thread?

Nope. And what does that have to do with XKCD? Especially since it's a free webcomic.
On a related note. Girl Genius is awesome. Phil Foglio kicks ass:
My new extended range propane powered vanBradley County Fire Rescue was dispatched to assist Sheriffs office on a traffic stop involving a leaking propane tank. Upon arrival the pictures show what was found, there was also a active leak from a broken gauge. The leak which occurred during the loading process was plugged with a golf tee. The passengers seat had been removed and a come-along chained to the passenger seat base was used to hoist the tank into the van. The deputy stopped the auto due to the propane smell emitting from the van.

My bad, it wasn't the hotlink thread. The thread that raised his lawyers' ire was one celebrating his comics

Anyway, the modified xkcd was my response to the situation.

Ah I thought maybe, I recalled them having fighters that were somewhat X shaped. But I didn't watch too much of that show, and wasn't clear enough to recognize it in that pic.
I did remember them being unique for most SF in that they actually had thrusters that made sense for zero-g, unlike every other Sci-Fi which just has spaceships that look like atmoshperic planes.
