At 4.86 feet, the Mississippi River is 52 feet below where it was on May 19, 2011, at the height of last year's historic flooding.

(Edit: There are two bridges at Vicksburg, they're the same height for purposes of this comparison)

Here's something you don't see every day --a nice Alfetta done up as an Itasha (or "Ouch Car", anime-decorated car) for the anime Strike Witches. I'll admit it, I'm a big anime fan. The character is Italian, BTW.

Yup, it does. Tho the Old Chain has a neat turn, which the Old Vicksburg Bridge doesn't have. They're also not using it for anything neat yet.
