I almost bought one of these to convert to a RV/tow vehicle. Then I remembered all the other projects I have. Still wish I had got it.

So I am getting gas this morning on my way to work and I pull in and on the other side of the island is one of these:

He drives off while I am still pumping so I get to hear the lovely sounds. As he pulls out of the gas station he is stopped at a red light. I can't help but notice that on the other street waiting in the left turn lane is one of these:

That has stripes and a rear difuser.

When I pull out a couple minutes later I get behind a C6 Z06.

Good day for cars I guess.

I was driving my Miata - like this:

( all images hotlinked from random places on the internet. None are pictures of the actual cars in question. The F355 Spyder wasn't even red.)

They sure did. The F-104 was meant to be a high-altitude interceptor and I guess they thought that firing the pilot down would be safer.

Haha, i remember it. Wasnt it Wayne Taylor, Ralf Kelleners, Eric Van de Pole.... A family friend drove their rig, would hook me up with broken 333sp bodywork.

Way Cool! Don't forget Fermin Velez, he got two wins at the Sebring 12, and an LMP win at Le Mans (unfortunately, not an overall, since it was back in the late 90s, when the GT1 cars were more reliable).

He ran in the EARL for awhile, too. Fermin died of cancer in 2003.

Recent anti-cancer run at Road Atlanta: http://www.accessnorthga.com/detail.php?n=229845 There was a little tribute to him there.

Only the prototypes and the first 26 F-104As had the downward ejecting seat. The rest went upwards.
