I saw this car at the Lemay Museum. There is a great picture out there of Smokey standing next to the car and with the driver is sitting in the car. He has a look of terror on his face. Luckily for the driver the car never raced as it crashed during practice.
If you look close at the driver's pod the thing is built like a street side car yet it did have an 1/8" inch of protective fiberglass around it......racing back when sex was safe and racing was dangerous..
