watched a relatively weak assed show called Fantom Works last night on Velocity. Forced car drama, scripted reality garbage...but some decent carpron for a rainy tuesday night.

They did show a build that turned out pretty cool though. A studebaker pickup had been customized by a some assclown who went nuts with a spraygun. The new owner wanted to go the other way and do some period correct-ish mods to it. I thought it turned out pretty nice!

started like this:

after something like $120k worth of metal fab (understandable, I guess, for that much custom metalwork - shaping and welding etc, no bondo or filler... but still a crazy pile o cash)

custom grille, molded fenders, redone interior (couldnt find any good pics, but awesome central OEM repro gauge cluster, and custom radio and HVAC controls in the console to clear up the custom dash), bagged suspension, suicide doors, rolled rear gate etc etc etc...pretty cool in my book!

Also, graduated from Moeller High School in 98...GO BIG MOE!

I took pics of that second car a couple years back. It's in the Garlits museum outside Gainesville.

EDIT: I take that back, I think the one I saw was identical but 2wd instead of 4
