No, fling pu isn't back anytime soon. Not for me anyway. But with car numbers 229 and 230 I couldn't resist. This is Ray's old ride BTW, the rx3 so proudly displayed in the mazdasport mag when it was Fling Pu green.

(Though I'd LOVE to have it for myself) I spent some time talking to his supercool wife and helped push the car around in the parking lot at the Saab Owner's Convention in Ohio a couple of weeks ago. His daughter was there as well, driving their white 9-5 shop car. Jack and his family rock. That car gave me more wood than most anything else at the convention. I'm very glad to have met him and had him as an instructor. If you go by the shop, tell him the guy he instructed in the 900 says 'hi'. No need to apologize for the novel. I enjoyed it. Here's a shot that another Saaber took of Jack's car and Jack's wife standing in the background: Here's Jack, his daughter and the car:

WOW! I haven't seen Jack in ages, I thought the poor thing had suffered the fate of most old race cars. Gives me a great chuckle to see he's still got it..and that Theresa's still there! Great lady, but we used to live in fear of her. When things were going weird at the shop, the greatest threat was, "Don't make me come down there myself!" from her over the `phone.

EDIT: forgot a hotlink. We had a nice customer in the late 80s that still drove her stock original 99 EMS Turbo. I don't have a pic of that car, so here's a SAAB ad photo..

There was a really interesting show about the Concorde on Smithsonian HD last night. Couldn't stop watching it.

Sticking with the Saab theme, here's a new 9-5.

Given the license plate, I think he realizes how absurd that is.
