With the advent of airplanes in the early 20th century the idea of aerodynamics found its way into every facet of design - particularly auto concept design. Designed by German engineer Karl Schlor the 1936 Schlörwagen or 'Pillbug' was certainly a product of the wind tunnel. And while it drag coefficient may she impressively low it does show that car design should not only be left to the laws of physics.
