I about confused about Japanese Luxury these days. Why buy a Acura/Lexus when a Honda EX-L Navi/XLE Limited is the same?

The same could be said for Ford and Lincoln.
BEHOLD! The opulence of the 2015 Lincoln MKZ:
Aren't you glad you didn't buy a Taurus:
Cause that extra $10k that the Lincoln costs is SOOO worth it.

The Lincoln MkC is longer, wider and gets larger engine options than the Ford Escape, plus looks way better IMHO. To be fair I work for the company and mine is a company car. The $ Question isn't the same to me as for retail buyers. If you look at modern Lincolns it's platform sharing, not badge engineering these days. Very significant differences.

Seems as good a place as any to post this. A friend in the UK has just bought one of these. A Dacia Duster.
I'm not sure what to say to him!!! It's not like he's a non car guy. Raced motorbikes for decades, worked for Mercedes from the 60's through retirement (by then at Chrysler) USed to drive AMG's etc. Still owns bikes and a Miata and he goes and does this ?!?!?!

(Note: Hers is a 2003, so not the same cars. But still ugly)
