Apparently the WV ANG must have been the last group to fly these babies. There was a cherry one in front of the armory out near the airport.

This is the coolest looking, most useless truck I have ever seen. Color is right for the age, it could fit into the "Boxflares" thread with a wee bit of squinting. GM trucks of the 67-72 era of all sizes just look so very correct to me.
Within two days of seeing this, and same age C65 (with air brakes and a five and two!) showed up in a small town just north of me. It needs paint, and one rear end removed, and I'd have to find a box for it, and spend a billion dollars... and I don't need it, and it would be hateful to drive, and hard to park, but would it ever be cool as you pull up to the hot rod show and dynamite the brakes.
I should have never parked these side by side. I'm having thoughts of a 4 wheel independent suspension Samurai.
Must...resist...the urge...to go get a tape measure.
"The road was blocked, we couldn't get through," Sister Margaret Ann told CNN. "And I saw somebody spin in the mud and almost go into a wall, going off the road. So, there was a need, I had the means — so I wanted to help out."
The chainsaws were sitting in a closet at her school, Sister Margaret Ann said, "and they didn't belong there. They needed to be used."
