I talked to the owner about it. He said he had a wrecked S-10 that was good but needed a bunch of body panels, and a buddy had a cheap, gut-rusted '53 Packard that was missing too many things to ever be a complete car again. It even had the Packard taillights and quarter panels, and the decklid and part of the roof had been cut and sectioned together to make a hard tonneau cover.

It was super cool. Also extremely low. The roofline came up to my waist. And it's amazing how much laying back the original grille changes the look of a '38 Dodge Brothers.
